The Koedoeslaagte MTB Marathon at Koedoeslaagte Trail Park is scenic, fun, yet challenging Mountainbike Race in the heart of the spectacular UNESCO-listed Vredefort Dome. The routes are 80% hand-built trails and include climbs, dongas, rock gardens and winding Vaal River bank trails.

The Crater Cruise Gravel is a scenic and enjoyable cycling adventure through the spectacular UNESCO-listed Vredefort Dome. The routes meander along the banks of the Vaal River, following quiet rural roads that showcase the natural beauty of the region. All routes pass through the historic mining town of Venterskroon and tackle the challenging Grootkloof Pass, offering riders a memorable mix of history, scenery, and adventure. Crossing the low-water bridges at Schoemansdrift, Skandinawiedrift, and Kromdraaidrift provides unique experiences that leave a lasting impression.

We promote a number of cycling tours and events around the Vredefort Dome UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site and Parys. Join us on a ride through this ancient mountainous landscape along the cooling Vaal River. The Dome boasts a wide network of rural gravel roads, a selection of cycling-friendly tar roads and its own mountainbike park; The Koedoeslaagte Trail Park and the backdrop to the Crater Cruise Gravel race.
