Event Status

• Gauteng Gravel Series event #3 (OPEN to all provinces and nationalities)

  • In U/23 Elite category - only drop-handle Gravel Bikes will come in contention for the Podium positions 1, 2 and 3 and on the Gauteng Series log. Also; no prize money in the U/23 Elite category if you are not on a drop-handle Gravel Bike. You are however welcome to participate on a mounatinbike in the U/23 Elite category on a social level.

  • All other categories are welcome to ride on mountain bikes​!

• An official Northwest calendar Gravel Race

• E-BIKES (all E-bikes to start at 9:30)

  • No E-bikes will be allowed in the 145km race.

  • E-bikes are welcome to ride the 50km and 92km events. Riders will enjoy a seperate start in a non competitive event.

• R75 000 Prize Money with special event Gold, Silver and Bronze medals

• A 20% discount will be offered to Early-Bird entrants! (enter before 2 April)

• A special Crater Cruise cycling cap (caquette) free to the first 20 entrants!

Venue and culture

• The event will be family friendly (The pump/jump/skill track for kids - R50 all-day entry fee)

• We will offer quality entertainment, coffee and food. The Uitspan Kiosk, the Acorn Coffee trailer and The Stash street food trailer will be there among other vendors

• We welcome UR Cycles to assist and support at Koedoeslaagte on raceday.

• We welcome Titan and Merida bikes for showcasing your bicycles to the public on raceday!

• The Koedoeslaagte permanent facilities make this venue special:

  • Porcelain toilets

  • Ample affordable accommodation - in facinity OR at Koedoeslaagte

  • The Koedoe-hall will offer protection from adverse weather conditions
